Junior and Senior Nationals


The week of July 3rd, 28 of our Jr/Sr athletes headed to Ottawa, Ontario to compete at the Canadian National Championships. Our athletes performed very well and many personal bests were achieved. Congratulations to everyone who competed we couldn’t be prouder of you!

London Western's power couple, Caroline Ehrhardt and Taylor Stewart had absolutely huge performances at nationals. Caroline took gold in TJ with a new lifetime best of 13.53m and Taylor Stewart took silver in the Decathlon with a new lifetime best of 7882pts, 600pts higher than his previous best.

Mackenzie Josie – 6th Discus Throw, 8th Shot Put

Will Christodoulou – 7th Javelin Throw

Mike Johnstone – 5th Long Jump Para Ambulatory

Kevin Strybosch – 1st Discus Throw Para Ambulatory with 44.65m, 5th Shot Put Para Ambulatory

Josh Mather and Megan Dunn both represented Canada for the first time in the Pan Am Combined Events Capital Cup that ran in conjunction with nationals. Both took home silver medals as part of the Capital Cup. Megan was the national gold medalist and Josh was national silver medalist. They competed in the decathlon and heptathlon.

Taylor Stewart (Sr M) – 2nd in Decathlon at Capital Cup and 2nd in Decathlon at Nationals
