It was another outstanding weekend of track & field performances by a small but talented group of LWTFC members at the Open/Para T&F and U18/Open Combined Events Championships held at the Toronto T&F Centre on July 31-August 1, 2021. Relying on our throwers, middle distance, and combined events athletes, the LWTFC managed to win a total of 10 medals, finishing third overall with 92 points in the club standings.
Stephen Davis took the Gold medal in the U18 Decathlon, recording not only a PB of 6520 points, but breaking the AO U18 record as well. This, of course, means that Stephen lowered the club record as well! Mark Bujnowski claimed 2 Gold and 1 Silver in the Shot Put, Discus, and Hammer Throw. In the Open Men's Decathlon Ryan Evans won an "unofficial" Bronze medal as he was competing as Unattached New Brunswick.
Listed below are the highlights of the weekend competition. Congratulations to all athletes on your efforts and achievements. Be sure to check our Gallery for more photos.
